THE FUTURE OF NAVIGATION
AVCS & ENC
The Admiralty Vector Chart Service (AVCS) brings together Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) from national Hydrographic Offices around the world and new ENC coverage produced by UKHO in co-operation with Foreign Governments; this is to provide comprehensive, official, worldwide coverage.
AVCS contains only ENC data that meets SOLAS Carriage Requirements for usage within Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS).
A flexible purchasing system allows to activate on board every ENC for 3, 6, 9, 12 months. It can also match in the best way all the needs of the Vessels also bringing a sensible cost saving for the companies.
AVCS & ENC
The ADMIRALTY Information Overlay (AIO) aids navigators at the crucial passage planning stage. It contains ADMIRALTY Temporary and Preliminary Notices to Mariners (T&P NMs) and ENC Preliminary Notices to Mariners (EP NMs) which highlight navigationally significant differences between ENCs and ADMIRALTY paper charts.
AIO can be displayed as a single layer on top of ENCs on the majority of ECDIS currently being sold, and also on back-of-bridge software, including ADMIRALTY e-Navigator Planning Station. All AVCS customers receive the unique AIO at no extra cost.
PAY AS YOU SAIL
Pay As You Sail (PAYS) service gives you access to all the ENCs free of charge for planning purposes.
You will pay for ENCs used, based on the tracking of the vessel: you can sail effortless with PAYS!
